Pair of Vintage Onyx Bookends

Really rare vintage onyx bookends. These are heavy solid onyx are very well made. 

Two sides of the bookends are smooth onyx and two sides are jagged. The jagged sides are smoothed over so they are not too rough. These sides also have a very slight sheen (see photos). Featured a felted fabric at the base to protect surfaces 

There is the original sticker still on one bookend that reads 'Onyx Stone, Hand Carved, Made in Mexico'. The onyx stone is mainly cream with tonal neutrals and a soft burgundy running through it.

Height: 17.5cm approx

Great vintage condition, a couple of small surface scratches, but hardly noticeable.
